What would it take for you to take a risk and do something completely new or different? That is the scenario in one of my all time favorite books "Dancing on the Edge of the Roof”. The protagonist, takes the biggest risk of her life, quits her job, leaves her family, moves across the country, and starts a brand new life.
Many of us want to try that new adventure, but we are padlocked in place by our fear. What will happen if, who will do what, what if I fail? All those questions may need to be answered and some of them will lead to a path of self-discovery. Nevertheless, if we do not take a chance on life, we will always be stuck in a holding pattern of time.
What risks have you taken? The risk of life is in living and be fully present.

Today, just go for it!

Hey Sandra - thanks for stopping by my blog. :-) I'm a year and a half into one of those big risks - turned 50, quit my corporate job, sold all my belongings, still can't sell my house (ugh), hit the road with my boyfriend and cat. Right now we're in Paris. Has it been easy? Not always. Has it been scary? Often. Do I have any idea what the future holds? No. Am I learning new things, meeting new people, expanding my horizons every day? Yes. I'm ggggglad (she stutter, just a bit) that I took the risk. (nail biting) hehe
Whew girl! I can't keep up. Kudos for you on jumping and taking BIIGGGG risks. How awesome. Enjoy the ride. I am still in mid air-- You did tell me there is a net a the bottom right? :-)
Another quick way to start a new life from scratch is to contract with a well-known mobster to commit a crime, then rat on him, and get into the Witness Protection Program. Better than staying all doped up like a bear in a zoo.
Jack,
and you don't think he will find you?? I'll take my chances fighting the bear, haven't you heard if you roll up in a ball, a bear is less likely to attack :-)
